Applying the ESOAR Framework with Failure Mode Analysis for ERP Service Optimization

Abstract: This is a technical article that tells of a new methodology of integrating the ESOAR framework (Eliminate, Standardize, Optimize, Automate, and Reengineer) and Failure Mode Analysis (FMA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to optimize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications and also systems and also any applications irrespective of technology. On one side, as the activities of organizations become more complex, the classical ERP implementation practices tend to be of little to no value; on the other side, more advanced techniques require considering both process optimization and the management of risks at the same time. The article also looks at how every element of the ESOAR framework changes the business process in a systematic manner by removing non-value-added activities, normalizing their workflow, creating efficiency and automation, and reengineering their old methodologies. This systematic way of shaping the process is accompanied by organized risk control in the form of FMA and FME, allowing the organization to determine the possible points of failure and objectively rate them in terms of their seriousness, frequency, and difficulty in detecting. The combination of such approaches establishes an entire system that balances operational capabilities and system durability, providing significant results in system dependability, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and alteration administration in different industry environments.
