Keywords: Digital Transformation, Api Integration, Embedded Insurance, Cloud-Native Platforms, Financial Ecosystems.
Abstract: Insurance and banking technology convergence is a revolution in the financial services industry. The detailed article presents an insight into the ways in which the insurance firms are shifting to be integrated with the bank systems to improve and reduce operational efficiency and customer experience. The article reviews some of the major axes of this technological convergence: the integration of banking API, which modernizes the core insurance functions; embedded insurance products making financial experiences seamless, cloud-native platforms to provide the best of risk management, and approaches to mitigate legacy systems and the newer ones. The article explains how competitiveness in the insurance industry is being transformed by this integration of technology through a close study of research being conducted in the industry, as well as industry trends. It underlines how more progressive insurers are using the digital platforms inspired by banking to catalyze the rate of innovation, lower costs, and provide a more customer-tailored experience. The article, in addition, examines how such technological developments are breaking barriers between conventional insurance and banking, bringing in prospects of integrated financial services that cater better to the varying customer demands and allow greater efficiency in conducting business.
