Abstract: In this thorough article, the author discusses the revolutionary possibilities of human-AI collaborative solutions to document processing systems in banking. The article evaluates the roles that artificial intelligence can play in initiating the handling of documents by the financial institutions, and at the same time, the need to have close human oversight, which has long been an issue in document handling. The article starts with an overview of traditional document processing inefficiency and then traces its way to a detailed description of implementation models, technical elements, and business value. The model proposed in the paper consists of four steps of combining AI training, automated extraction, confidence scoring, and human verification to build adaptive workflows depending on document type and quality. It discusses technical aspects, such as preprocessing, Optical character recognition, computer vision, natural language processing, and custom interfaces, along with implementation concerns in terms of security, integration, scalability, and ongoing learning. All along, the article points out the complementary nature of artificial and human intelligence, where AI is used to add consistency, pattern recognition, and processing power, whereas contextual wisdom and expert judgment on ambiguous cases still remain.
