Generative AI Integration in ERP and E-Commerce Ecosystems
Keywords: Generative AI, ERP, E-commerce, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Knowledge Graphs, AI Workflow Automation.
Abstract: Generative AI is transforming enterprise ERP and E-commerce ecosystems, enabling intelligent, conversational, and context-aware workflows that automate report writing, support requests, procurement processes, and more. This review presents a comprehensive synthesis of research, technologies, and experimental findings in the domain. This article explores how Generative AI integrates with structured enterprise systems via Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge graphs, and orchestration pipelines like LangChain and GraphQL. A proposed reference architecture is discussed, along with benchmarks demonstrating accuracy, latency, and ROI gains. The review concludes by highlighting future trends, including federated LLMs, AI + RPA fusion, and composable workflows, emphasizing the potential and responsibility of deploying generative technologies in mission-critical enterprise environments.
