The Rise of Non-Functional Testing for High-Volume FinTech Systems

Keywords: High-Frequency Trading, Non-Functional Testing, Performance Optimization, Cybersecurity Validation, DevOps Integration.

Abstract: The financial tech industry has seen huge changes as high-speed trading tech and automated systems now handle millions of deals very fast. This article looks at the key differences between functional and non-functional tests in today's financial systems, showing how standard testing has changed to meet the tough needs of online trading. Non-functional testing is now vital for checking system speed, security, and stability during tough market times. Using advanced testing setups, it is possible to validate speed, check capacity, and measure scalability during market swings. Security tests now go beyond simple scans to tackle complex cyberattacks, using multiple security layers while keeping delays to a minimum. To do non-functional testing well, it must be part of the whole software creation process, using automated tools and DevOps for constant quality checks. By combining these tests, financial systems can stay ahead, meet rules, and protect assets in the digital market.
